The institute is located on NH-1, G.T. Road Panipat, just 50 minutes run from Delhi. The institute was granted affiliation by Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra in 2007 and affiliation has been approved by Bar Council of India. Geeta Institute of law is one of the prestigious law Institute having honored as being the best 36th law college in India by India Today Ranking.
Centre for Arbitration and mediation has been established to generate awareness amongst the law students and also to ensure that consistent and high quality research is carried in the field of ADR. The ultimate object of the Centre is to serve as a platform for imparting professional training to the students in the field of Arbitration and Mediation.
Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab, was established by the State Legislature of Punjab by passing the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab Act, 2006 (Punjab Act No. 12 of 2006). The Act incorporated a University of national stature in Punjab, thereby fulfilling the need for a Centre of Excellence in legal education in the modern era of globalization and liberalization.
The University has also set up the Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution (CADR) which has been established to promote students’ and researchers’ interest in Alternative Dispute Resolution constituting dispute resolution methods like Arbitration, Negotiation, Mediation and Conciliation. The ultimate objective of the Center is to strengthen ADR mechanism in the country by emerging as a platform for students to further their interests in the field.
