Outcome-Oriented Legal Education
In the Geeta Institute of Law, established in 2007, and associated with Kurukshetra University
with BCI approval, academic delivery is based around the measurement of outcomes, the rigorous
curriculum, and hands-on learning.
Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)
- To create ethically grounded and professionally competent legal professionals
- To prepare students for careers in the judiciary, litigation, corporate, and public service
careers.
- To enhance research ability and analytical thinking
- To promote the constitutional values and social accountability
Program Outcomes (POs)
Graduates of GIL demonstrate:
- Strong command of procedural and substantive law
- Drafting, advocacy and litigation abilities
- Legal research and analytical skills
- Confidence in courtrooms and professionalism
- Availability for judicial services and competitive exams

- Legal education in the clinical setting
- Moot court coaching
- Drafting and the pleading
- Professional ethics

Teaching–Learning Practices
Education in law at GIL goes beyond the traditional lecture format.
Our pedagogy covers:
- Learning through case-based scenarios
- Simulations of Moot courts
- Court appearances, including exposure to Supreme Court of India
- Guest lectures given by law prominent judges and luminaries
- Research conference and seminars
- In-house Judicial Training by Geeta Judicial Academy
This model is integrated to ensure that learning is practice-driven and relevant to professional
practice.
