The Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) has released a big update on 21 MAY 2026, which has completely reshaped the timeline for legal aspirants across the state. The commission has announced the Haryana ADA Exam Date 2026. The Screening Test is scheduled for 5 July 2026, and the application window is reopened from 25–29 May 2026  till 5:00 PM.

According to the latest notification, the Prelims exam is now rescheduled for 5 July 2026, and the Mains examination will be held on 9 August 2026

Initially, the Screening Test of the exam was scheduled to be conducted on 21 June 2026; however, this has changed now, and the new Haryana ADA exam date (Screening test) is scheduled to take place on 5 July 2026, while the Subject Knowledge Test has been fixed on 9 August 2026.

Revised Exam Syllabus and Pattern for Haryana ADA Exam Date 2026 Syllabus

As per the order of the Hon’ble High Court, in the Screening Test, a minimum of 50% questions will be asked from the subject of Law and 50% from General Studies. Earlier, the pattern initially had 80% Law and 20% General Studies questions, which was later changed to a fully General Studies-based paper. The revised pattern now restores a balanced 50:50 distribution between Law and general subjects.

How to Fill the Form for the Revised Haryana ADA Exam Date?

Follow these easy steps to fill out your application:

  1. Go to the official site of HPSC, i.e., hpsc.gov.in or https://regn.hpsc.gov.in/asttdistatt/.
  2. Click on the link beside the announcement to register for Assistant District Attorney (Advt No. 18/2025).
  3. Register with the help of your email address and phone number.
  4. Enter details of your personal and education profile.
  5. Upload a photograph and signature along with documents.
  6. Pay the application fee online.
  7. Submit the form and take a printout.
  8. Physically sign it and reupload it.

What is the Process of Haryana ADA Recruitment?

Candidates shall undergo three rounds of selection as follows:

  • Screening Test (Objective Test): Preliminary qualifying examination test. Candidates need to qualify with a minimum marks of 25%. Ten times the number of vacancies will be selected for the next round.
  • Subject Knowledge Test (Subjective): Main descriptive examination with a weightage of 87.5% in the overall selection.
  • Viva-Voce (Interview): The last final test is a one-on-one session with a weightage of 12.5%

  • Preparation of Law Subjects: Need to read Civil Law, BNS 2023, BNSS 2023, Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam 2023, Contract Act, and Hindu Law.

  • Practice Reasoning & Numerical Aptitude: Practice reasoning & numerical aptitude skills at an analytical level and basic numeracy of class X standard.

Essentials to Carry on the Day of the Exam

After the Haryana ADA exam admit card links open on the website, candidates must print out colored copies of the admit card. They should carry:

  • A physical copy of the Haryana ADA Exam admit card.
  • Two recent colour passport-sized photographs as per their application file.
  • Original photo identity proof issued by the state authorities (i.e., Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Driving License, or Passport).
  • Standard blue/black ballpoint pen for marking on the OMR sheet.
