Centre for Social Research has successfully organized a Panel Discussion on “ Linguistic Chauvinism in Legal Profession” on 25th February 2022. Ms. Parul, Assistant Director of Centre for Social Research has initiated and moderated the session. Panelists included Advocate Shivinder K Chopra, Founder and Chief Advisor at Legalimus Consultus, Advocate Sandiip Guptaa, Founder and Principal Partner of SG Law Officez, Advocate Jaideep Singh, Managing Partner at Dharamvidhi Legal Services and Solutions LLP. Panelist shared their concern on Stigma related to not knowing legal language. Also, discussed their personal experiences on Hefty Judgements. Students were elated with such interesting, interactive, and Informative session.
Social Research Guest Lecture
“Being yourself is never the wrong thing to do”Centre of Social Research in Geeta Institute of Law has successfully held a Guest Lecture with Ms. Kalki Subramaniam on “From Fear and Dejection to Confidence and Hope- LGBTQ status in India” on 12th October, 2021 at 11:00 am for the students of BA LLB & BBA LLB 7th semester. Ms Kalki spoke about the challenges in legal system pertaining to Transgender/ Homosexual Community. Several relevant questions related to the postion of LGBTQ Community have been asked by the Students of Geeta Institute of Law.
Awareness Program
Centre for Social Research of Geeta Institute of Law(GIL) in Association with Rotary Club, Platinum Club and District Legal Service Authority,Panipat successfully organized an Awareness Program on “ Prevention of COVID -19” on 25th September in Shimla Maulana Village, Panipat under the supervision of Ms Parul , Assistant Director of Centre for Social Research and Mr Sahil Kumar , Assistant Professor of Geeta Institute of Law. Mr Varun Dua , President , Mr Manoj Singla, Secretary, Mr Ravi Dillori, Project Chairman, Mr Arun Pasricha, Editor of Rotary club and Platinum Charitable Trust of Panipat marked their presence. Mr Varun and Ms Parul educated the students about the precautions to be taken for COVID.
